David Gvetadze

David Gvetadze With an MBA from Strasbourg University, David is a managing partner of UBC International. He spent five years of his career in PricewaterhouseCoopers Paris office. Besides general management functions, he also directly supervises internal quality control procedures in order to assure that the services rendered by UBC International are in line with international requirements and best practices.

He has sound international experience in conducting assignments in accordance with the requirements of the EBRD, World Bank, KFW and other international financial institutions. He has worked with the following Clients in Georgia and worldwide on audit and MCS assignments: Tbilisi Bus Company (municipal entity), TBC Bank, Bank of Georgia, Bank Republic, Agro Business Bank, United Georgian Bank, Georgian Trans Expeditions, BNP Paribas, CIC, Banque populaire, etc. He is currently supervising the audit of Canargo Energy Corporation (publicly traded company) in accordance with USA Securities Exchange Commission requirements.




Mikheil Abaiadze

Mikheil Abaiadze Mikheil has the overall responsibility over the assignments of the Company, directing the team strategically and under the required quality standards. As a Director he is a critical link to the Client’s executive level and is in touch with the audit and assurance, tax and legal, Accounting and business consultant and Property Appraisal teams’ day-to-day work.

He manages UBC International Team consisting over 30 professional staff, providing top quality professional services to the wide range of business sector such as Banking, Insurance, Microfinance, Industry, Mining, Energy, Transportation, Communication, Agriculture, Municipal and Not-for-Profit / Non Governmental Organizations.

His practices include Audit of IFRS financial statements performed under ISA requirements, special purpose audits, due dilligences, tax and legal compliance services under Georgian Legislation, Property valuation services under International Valuation Standards and etc.

Mikheil began his career in 2000 with UBC International LLC, the largest Georgian Audit and business advisory Company currently full member firm of PKF International - worldwide association of legally independent accounting firms, as an audit assistant. His master’s degree in accounting, internal control and auditing and joint assignments with PricewaterhouseCoopers worldwide team contributed a lot in his career advancement and over five years he holds a position of a Partner and the Executive Director of the Company.

Dedication to his profession, extensive knowledge of local accounting and legal practices encouraged him to participate in the development of accounting profession in Georgia through participating in professional organizations and in 2008 Mikheil becomes the member of board of Georgian federation of professional accountants and auditors.

Mikheil also delivers lectures to student groups in Financial accounting under IFRS, Managerial accounting and in Theory of bookkeeping at Tbilisi State University.

Mikheil Abaiadze is Georgian Native, fluent in Russian and good in English languages






Vakhtang Tsabadze

Vakhtang Tsabadze Vakhtang Tsabadze, Audit Director of UBC International has extensive experience in auditing and assurance services for private and state-owned enterprises of all size, including banks, insurance companies, mining and energy sector, municipal services companies.

Vakhtang began his career in auditing in 2002 in Alexandre Consulting Group as a consultant on International Standards on Auditing and his duties were to develop and implement firm’s internal standards on auditing and audit methodology in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA). His duties also included development of quality management system and relevant documentation in accordance with ISO 9001/2000 standard. He led the development of the first Quality Manual and the whole package of quality management system documents for the company.

During 2004-2005 he worked in Tbilgazi JSC, a natural gas distribution company supplying gas to Tbilisi, on the position of Deputy head of Internal Audit Department.

Vakhtang joined UBC International in June 2005. He worked on assurance assignments for the projects financed by World Bank and EBRD. He’s worked on assignments with NGOs and donor-funded projects, he has participated in audits of projects funded by USAID, Cordaid, Novib, SDC and other donor organizations. He has extensive experience of working in Georgian environment on audit and business advisory assignments. Vakhtang participated in audits of World Bank funded projects in Armenia. He also has experience of work in Baku, Azerbaijan. Mr. Tsabadze has experience in financial management of NGO that contributes much to his understanding of donor funded programs’ audit specifics.

Vakhtang leads audit and assurance lectures at ACCA-based Georgian language professional training scheme managed by the Georgian federation of professional accountants and auditors (GFPAA).
